The move

The hero grid is a real joint account rather than a decorative mock: a shared pot with the actual split shown as two tinted panels, three bills as proportional bars, and, on its own full-width row, a separate personal account labelled 'yours alone, Priya never sees it'. The product's hardest promise is the one the layout spends the most space on.

How it was built

The actual MCP calls, in order.

  1. recommend
a joint-finances app for couples: soft, warm, playful, reassuring, bento grid

Returned a Bento Grid pick with all six exemplars agreeing on it, plus the canonical bento component whose note - irregular spans defeat the 3x2 sameness - is the rule the hero grid follows.

Palette, traced

Every token, and the reference it came from.

  • --paper#fbf7f2Warm off-white ground. The reassurance argument fails on a cold page, and every warm exemplar in the set started here.
  • --sage#5f7a5cMuted sage for the primary button, the brand mark and positive figures. Green without being a bank's green.
  • --clay#d97a55Warm clay as the second party's colour. The two people in the page each get a hue, which is the whole visual argument.
  • --sage-soft#e4ecdfTinted fill for Priya's share, the status pill and the mid-page band.
  • --clay-soft#fbe6dcThe matching tint for Sam's share, so the split reads before you read the percentages.
  • --muted#7a726aWarm grey for labels and secondary copy, holding the hierarchy without going cold.
