Ask at the kiosk for a hardship pass. It lasts a year, it is not means-tested, and the person on the desk will not make it a conversation.
Winter swimming is unsupervised and genuinely risky if you have not built up to it. Come in October and let the temperature drop with you, or come to a Saturday induction and we will show you how to get out again safely.
