NDVI compares how much red light the canopy absorbs with how much near-infrared it bounces back. Healthy leaves absorb red and reflect infrared hard, so the number climbs. Overpass shows the raw value and, next to it, what it usually means for the crop you are growing.
Post-harvest, freshly drilled ground, or a field that has failed. Useful for confirming cover-crop establishment.

Every value on the map is atmospherically corrected and cloud-masked before you see it. Pixels under thin haze are flagged rather than guessed. The formula is the standard one, (nir - red) / (nir + red), computed from bands 8 and 4 at 10 m, and you can download the underlying reflectances for any pass.
Overpass also runs a moisture index and a chlorophyll index on the same pass. They live one tap away from the map and share the same season timeline, so a dip in one is always seen alongside the others.

Yes. Overpass exports the open format every current terminal reads, plus the older shapefile if your kit predates it. Each zone carries the rate you set, so the spreader just runs the job.
You do. The satellite imagery is public; the boundaries, history and alerts are yours, and you can export or delete them at any time. We never sell field-level data to anyone.
